Jay finished most of the painting today (the paint supply folks gave him 1 wrong quart to finish the French doors so we’ll see him in the a.m.). The office looks beautiful and I’m going to love it if we can ever get into it. The carpet shampooer didn’t work, even after hubby took it mostly apart to clean filters, etc., or we’re just stupid. So he’s off to rent one and we’ll shampoo half the room in the a.m. and the second half after lunch. After this many years, we know that we’re not night people and know better than to start a project after dinner.
It’s always something. The hard stuff is easy; the easy stuff is hard.
Hubby’s mood is about as foul as my migraine (I really needed an Extreme Renovation vacation) but we’re ordering in tonight and plopping our bodies on the assorted upholstered furniture and a pre-bedtime nap (what my father called “checking the insides of his eyelids”) is likely on the agenda. Updates tomorrow including pictures I still can’t get off my camera because the battery recharger is hidden somewhere and the furniture is all plonked together in a space not designed for it.
