So, um, from the Kid who worked for the Mouse: Tomorrowland is built on the idea of a future that can never be. That’s why it’s never been updated since the park opened. The whole area is based on a famous Sci-Fi writer (who’s name eludes me right now, but he’s super-famous and almost everyone who reads sci-fi has read one of his books) and those are all written about a future that can’t possibly happen. Thus, no flying cars, no Buzz Lightyear Laser Guns, no instant turkey on Thanksgiving.
