Martin Eakes is an entrepreneurial business-friendly exec; a model micro-investor and pretty globally known. I think the four men who attacked and beat him picked the wrong guy [not that there is a "right" guy to attack for no reason]. Glad to hear he’s expected to make a full recovery. That is truly awful, as Roch said. I’ve read nothing but good stuff about him and it’s all the worse when a guy who has given so much of himself to others is so brutally attacked for no real reason. I hope he recovers quickly.
Thanks for the post, Sue. If anything, the N&O story sanitized how bad the attack really was. I cannot remember the last time I have been so full of sadness and anger in equal parts.
I want to get these guys off the street. Rage, anger and concern for the next victim are on my mind.
