Backpedaling

It’s a shame that some things that some people want to be true just aren’t true. And it doesn’t matter how many times you type it, it’s still untrue.

This afternoon, former Hillary Clinton flack Howard Wolfson, confronted by a Fox News colleague with actual Iowa polling that suggested Clinton wasn’t the de facto second choice of John Edwards voters, backed away from his claim that an early disclosure of Edwards’ affair cost Clinton the nomination.

“Some people” here. Sue, it’s almost amusing and sadly predictable that your talking about “back-pedaling” – given that your boy Edwards could now be considered an Olympian in the sport.

And please don’t jab me anymore about “the truth”. You embraced a pair of liars (in 2006) and that’s not my problem. Meanwhile, as lowly local from journalistically-challenged Randolph County invited into your medium, I’ve been telling THE TRUTH for several years – yet (because you don’t like my political opinions) you’ve done everything you can to discredit me/marginalize me as a blogger/attack my credibility.

It doesn’t wash anymore. You’ve made it clear you don’t read my blog – but perhaps you should: http://drjshousecalls.blogspot.com/2008/08/well-now-i-guess-i-dont-have-to-sue.html

Don’t feel bad. Your boy Edwards didn’t give a crap either. Servant of the ordinary people and all that.

Let’s pedal forward a little bit. It’s not just about the Iowa polling data and you know it – it’s about a candidate in the race that should not have been (given the brand-new potential love child in the closet – excuse me, housed with hush-money in the multi-million dollar mansion). Edwards didn’t have a lot of delagates, but he had some – and they swayed to Obama after his endorsement (an endorsment that was fairly transparent to “some people” – a quid-pro-quo for the AG’s chair).

I wonder what the endorsement of a liar means to them now. Could make for some good fun at the convention.

Have a nice day. I’m sorry (not) you won’t be sleeping in the Lincoln – but hey, maybe Microsoft will step up and find a way to get you there.
